Position SummaryThis position will be the primary finance business partner to the Labs organization within SPG. In this role, the candidate will be expected to apply conceptual and practical financial expertise to address complex business problems and drive investment decisions for profitable growth. As a key finance business partner, the candidate will anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and actively influence management with critical analysis and sound business advice. This role collaborates with various cross-functional organizations and requires the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with business partners to establish portfolio/project financial milestones, targets, and ROI measures.Leads and drives the operating expense and capital budget planning process by engaging with business partners and senior management during financial cycles (quarterly close, QBR, AOP, SR), including ownership of task accuracy and data integrity.Interfaces with senior management in Labs to drive operating expense management and prioritization, improving processes to best allocate opex resources across different programs.Partners with Labs executives on program decisions and execution to meet all financial metrics (budget targets, capital investments, and opex spending).Partners with finance counterparts to drive and implement best practices for financial tools, processes, financial cycles, and analytical tools.Supports management in completing other ad hoc projects and analyses.Completes detailed analysis and commentary for finance and non-finance executives.Key ExpectationsProven competencies in communication, financial analysis, and working across functions with different levels of management to drive results.Eager to learn and understand the business to apply and establish standardized financial processes.Influencing – ability to impact decisions within own organization, cross-functionally, and across different levels of management by leveraging experience and competencies in financial analysis.Self-starter capable of maintaining financial cycle deliverables, identifying change, and driving items to closure with limited management oversight.Qualifications7-10 years of relevant experience.Bacherlor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Interpersonal skills to engage with partners, understand key issues, develop recommendations, and implement actions to improve business results.Experience with AI and data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.Additional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
