Key Responsibilities

• Perform first assist duties in a main operating room setting supporting a variety of surgical specialties
• Assist surgeons during procedures including general, trauma, orthopedic, vascular, gynecological, plastics, and urology cases
• Support robotic-assisted surgical procedures as applicable
• Maintain a 1:1 scrub-to-surgeon ratio within a 17-OR surgical suite
• Adhere to facility dress code and departmental policies throughout the assignment
• Complete facility privileging and credentialing prior to onboarding — required within 24 hours of confirmation

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist – First Assist (CST/FA)
• NBSTSA Certification required — no exceptions; must be clearly indicated on submission
• Active Virginia State Surgical Tech License or documented license status — must be included on submission
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Vascular surgical experience required
• No on-call or weekend requirements for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Proficiency across multiple specialties including general, trauma, orthopedic, gynecological, plastics, and urology
• Prior travel assignment experience in a high-volume surgical environment
