Buyer, Category Management | Hybrid | Waltham, MA We're looking for an experienced Buyer, Category Management to join a leading energy and infrastructure organization. If you have a strong background in strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiations, and supplier management, this is an excellent opportunity to support major capital and construction projects while driving procurement excellence. What You'll Do: Develop and execute category strategies and strategic sourcing initiatives Lead RFPs, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract awards Support large-scale construction and capital procurement projects Conduct market analysis, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive value Manage contract development, amendments, and supplier performance Identify cost savings, process improvements, and future procurement opportunities Mentor junior procurement team members and promote best procurement practices What You Bring: Significant experience in strategic sourcing and category management Strong contract negotiation and contract development experience Experience managing high value spend portfolios ($10M+) Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office skills Strong analytical skills with experience building commercial assessment models Knowledge of project management principles and ability to manage multiple priorities Experience working with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams Ability to travel within Massachusetts as needed Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
