CNA/HCA/NAR – Full-Time In-Home Caregiver

Full-Time Day Shift | 7 AM–3 PM | Seattle
96+ Hours of Paid Training

Starting pay: $23.46–$24.48/hour
Increase to $25.50/hour after required training + 60-day probationary period
Additional $0.50/hour after Nurse Delegation qualification

CLEAR In Home Care is a small, family-owned Supported Living agency looking for a kind, dependable CNA, HCA or NAR to join our care team.

This position is different from many caregiving jobs. You won't travel from client to client or rush through a list of short visits. You will work in one home as part of a consistent team supporting one adult with developmental disabilities.

Our goal is to know the person we support well — her routines, communication, preferences, strengths and needs — and provide thoughtful, individualized care.

You do not need years of experience to be a good candidate for CLEAR.

We welcome newly licensed CNAs, HCAs and NARs who are dependable, compassionate, willing to learn and interested in gaining experience in developmental disability care.

We are also very interested in credentialed caregivers with experience or education in autism, ABA, behavioral health, psychology, special education, nursing or other helping professions.

An active Washington CNA, HCA or NAR credential is required.

EXTENSIVE PAID TRAINING

We don't expect a new employee to walk in knowing how to support this client.

CLEAR provides 96+ hours of paid training, plus additional client-specific Care Plan and Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP) training.

Required specialty training includes:

• 16-hour Developmental Disabilities Specialty Training
• 9-hour Nurse Delegation Core Training
• 16-hour Right Response Training
• Client-specific Care Plan and PBSP training
• Hands-on training alongside experienced staff

If you already have some of these trainings, that's great. If you don't, we can arrange the required specialty training and pay you for your training time.

You must be available for approximately two weeks of daytime training when you begin. Training hours may be different from your eventual regular schedule.

THE POSITION

Our current opening is for a full-time day-shift caregiver, generally 7 AM–3 PM.

Specific workdays will be discussed during the interview process based on our current team schedule.

This is hands-on caregiving. Responsibilities include:

• Bathing, toileting, peri-care and personal hygiene
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating
• Medication assistance after training and Nurse Delegation
• Community outings and meaningful activities
• Following individualized Care Plans and behavior support strategies
• Electronic documentation of care, activities and observations
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home
• Working closely and respectfully with other members of the care team

Some caregiving skills can be taught. The qualities that make someone successful on our team are just as important.

Our strongest caregivers are kind, calm, patient, dependable, observant, coachable and able to work closely with others.

We value caregivers who ask questions when they aren't sure, accept feedback, pay attention to details and genuinely want to get to know the person they support.

This can be an especially good position for a newer CNA/HCA/NAR who wants to build strong caregiving skills with extensive training and support.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current/active Washington CNA, HCA or NAR credential
• Comfortable providing bathing, toileting and peri-care
• Willing and eligible to complete Nurse Delegation
• Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to bend, stand for extended periods and get up and down from the floor
• Comfortable using electronic documentation
• Dependable attendance
• Able to pass required background checks
• Available for approximately two weeks of paid daytime training

PAY & BENEFITS

• Starting pay of $23.46–$24.48/hour, based on completed training
• Increase to $25.50/hour after required training + 60-day probationary period
• Additional $0.50/hour after Nurse Delegation qualification
• 2% annual raise
• 96+ hours of paid training
• Paid client-specific training
• Required Continuing Education: tuition paid + paid training time
