About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU with charge experience preferred. License: Required state or compact license in-hand prior to start. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, CCRN or CMSRN or RN-BC Must-Have: Previous charge experience required. Patient ratio experience of 2:1 or better is preferred. Experience with charting systems, preferably Meditech. Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred. Experience in Trauma Level I and II facilities preferred. Travel experience required. Description: This is an ICU nursing position that requires advanced skills in critical patient care. The role involves managing a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 8 patients. The unit features 16 rooms. Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and assisting with chest tube procedures. You will administer blood products and manage ventilated patients. Familiarity with renal failure management, CRRT, and EVD is necessary. Additional tasks include monitoring and interpreting vital signs, managing dysrhythmias, and utilizing advanced technologies for patient care. Knowledge of massive transfusion protocols and emergency medications is essential. The position includes floating to Med Surg, ED, and OB. Candidates must be willing to work holidays and weekends as required. Module completion is required for job clearance prior to starting. Experience with various medical procedures and advanced care technologies is advantageous.
