Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist at Hollywood Feed supports day-to-day human resources operations while helping foster a positive, people-first workplace culture. This role partners with leaders and associates to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for associates, provides guidance on HR processes, and helps ensure consistent, fair, and compliant practices across the organization, all while embodying Hollywood Feed's commitment to care, integrity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Interprets and communicates HR policies, procedures, and processes to ensure employees and managers receive accurate guidance.
• Monitors organizational compliance with employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices, including but not limited to FMLA, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, EEOC, and FCRA.
• Offers consultation, coaching, and support to managers on employee relations issues and conflict resolution, documents performance feedback, and ensures adherence to employment policies relevant to the situation.
• Addresses moderately complex employee relations matters and collaborates with leadership on highly sensitive or complex cases.
• Drafts and revises HR documentation related to time and attendance, performance issues, disciplinary actions, and both voluntary and involuntary terminations.
• Provides employees with guidance to address questions, resolve issues, and express concerns.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong employee relations experience.
• Must be able to communicate, interpret and make sound judgements based on policies and
• procedures.
• Experience supporting hourly/nonexempt teams required.
• Ability to adapt in fast-growing environment.
• Knowledge of Human Resource disciplines, US employment laws.
• Able to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and execute on needed actions.
• Be a team player who prides themselves on being highly collaborative.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Operate independently and make sound decisions.
• Able to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with all levels of organization.
• Ability to work on-site.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Able to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Physically able to perform the job functions for 8-10-hour workdays.
• Employees may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, along with bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and other physical movements essential to daily tasks.

Education & Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of HR Generalist work experience.
