Supply Chain Analyst- Material Planning

Job Description

Material Planning & Supplier Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for end-to-end material planning and visibility for assigned suppliers and projects.
• Coordinate material quoting, ordering, expediting, tracking, and delivery forecasting for inventory and non-inventory materials.
• Support Engineering and Project Teams with material requirements planning and ordering activities.
• Monitor supplier deliverables, commitments, and milestone performance.
• Manage supplier communications related to schedules, production updates, delivery risks, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain material status reports that provide visibility into procurement, manufacturing, and delivery performance.
• Support minor material sourcing activities, including quote requests and purchase requisition development.
• Support major stock and non-stock material sourcing activities, from the Technical Recommendation to Award through material installation.

Project Material Readiness

• Liaise closely with Inventory Management teams to ensure material readiness for construction activities.
• Collaborate with Warehousing and Field Material Management teams, including the Depot, Pratts, and yard operations, to support receipt, staging, and deployment of materials.
• Identify potential material shortages, delays, or constraints and proactively develop mitigation plans.
• Provide construction and project teams with accurate delivery forecasts and material availability updates.

Supplier Performance & Vendor Strategy Support

• Partner closely with Procurement, and Supplier Performance teams to monitor supplier execution and performance.
• Provide supplier delivery, quality, and responsiveness data to support performance scorecards and supplier evaluations.
• Escalate supplier issues and support corrective action plans.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support commercial discussions by providing performance data, forecasting information, and delivery metrics.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)

• Capture and document supplier quality feedback from Engineering, Construction, and Field Operations.
• Provide QA/QC observations and performance trends to inform supplier performance frameworks.
• Support root cause analysis efforts related to material quality concerns and supplier non-conformance issues.
• Coordinate with Engineering and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues impacting project execution.

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Support development and maintenance of material management processes, procedures, and standards.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RACI) across departments and supplier workflows.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, risk reduction, and increased visibility of supplier performance.
• Support implementation of best practices for supplier collaboration, forecasting, and material readiness.

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics related to:
• Material availability
• Supplier delivery performance
• Forecast accuracy
• Material readiness
• Quality performance
• Project support metrics
• Analyze material trends and supplier performance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support executive and operational reporting requirements.
