Coordinator Respiratory Therapy

Job Overview Hourly Wage Estimate: $33.44 - $51.26 / hour The Clinical Coordinator demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients and to provide direction and supervision to other staff caring for patients in receiving Respiratory Care. The Coordinator reviews patient care daily, visits patients regularly, suggests improvements to care, and becomes involved in the care of selected patients. The Coordinator organizes, coordinates, and facilitates patient care assignments on the department/unit during all operating hours. The Coordinator performs delegated management duties, participates in budget planning, staffing, cost‑effective supply decisions, staff interviewing, monitoring, coaching, evaluating, disciplining, mentoring, and program development as assigned by the Respiratory Director. Responsibilities Provide direction and supervision to respiratory care staff. Review patient care daily and visit patients regularly. Suggest improvements to enhance patient care quality. Organize and coordinate patient care assignments for the unit. Perform delegated management duties per Respiratory Director’s instructions. Understand and manage budget, staffing plans, and cost‑effective supply decisions. Participate in interviewing, monitoring, coaching, evaluating, disciplining staff. Mentor and develop staff through ongoing education. Participate in program development as assigned by the Director. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (NBRC‑CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist or (RRT/RCP‑State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner. Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
