Technical Sales Representative

Location: Simi Valley, CA (or Remote/Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time Expected Income: $200,000+ The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role represents a strategic focus on expanding our cutting‑edge, solvent‑free sample preparation lines and thermal desorption solutions. You will primarily drive the sales of our high‑growth analytical preparation portfolio, featuring our industry‑leading Sorbent Pen™ (VASE/Flash‑VASE/FEVE) and SPICE technologies, positioning them as the premier alternatives of Dynamic Headspace and SPME in modern laboratories. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping analytical laboratories transition to simpler, more sensitive, and faster chromatographic solutions. A strong emphasis will be placed on enhanced productivity and system flexibility, demonstrating how customers can do more in less time than with other TD and Headspace solutions. Key Responsibilities Drive Revenue Growth: Identify, prospect, and close sales opportunities for automated TD‑GCMS solutions based around the extremely versatile TD‑Explorer™ (over the GCMS rail sample prep system), with multiple applications in the food & beverage, material emissions, environmental laboratories, and industrial hygiene markets. Utilize Salesforce CRM: Maintain a comprehensive and optimized database of customers and prospects, connecting frequently to maintain sales pipelines using proven strategies to swiftly close sales. Account Management: Nurture and grow relationships with existing and new laboratories, helping them transition to or expand their use of our advanced thermal desorption and headspace technologies. Capitalize on Key Methods: Develop a strong understanding of current EPA, ASTM, FDA, and other GCMS sample preparation methods, focusing on the advantages of Entech solutions over the competition. Product Demonstrations: Conduct virtual and in‑person product presentations, demonstrating how Sorbent Pen™ and SPICE technologies achieve superior sensitivity and streamline lab workflows. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, internal applications chemists, engineering, and field support teams to ensure a seamless client experience from demo to installation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field. Proven track record in technical sales, preferably within the analytical laboratory instrumentation, chromatography accessory, or sample preparation industry. Strong working knowledge of Gas Chromatography (GC) and Gas Chromatography‑Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) techniques, columns, and inlets. Strong expertise in sample preparation methodologies, including thermal desorption, active/passive tube sampling, and headspace extraction. Understanding of Solid‑Phase Microextraction (SPME) limitations and ability to clearly articulate the value of Entech's Alternative Headspace Techniques. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed for client visits, trade shows, and industry conferences.
