Human Resources Generalist

A well-established, mission-driven nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a Junior HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function across multiple affiliated entities. Key Responsibilities Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and general HR matters Manage semi-monthly payroll processing across multiple entities, including reconciliation and discrepancy resolution Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans Support open enrollment, qualifying life events, COBRA notifications, and benefit terminations Coordinate with benefit carriers and vendors and assist employees with benefit-related questions Support FMLA, state leave programs, and workers' compensation administration Assist with HR compliance, including federal, state, and local employment regulations Facilitate new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I-9 compliance, and new hire orientation Support employee relations matters, maintain appropriate documentation, and elevate complex issues when necessary Assist with unemployment claims, employment verifications, and other HR administrative matters Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS system Assist with HR policies, procedures, programs, and required workplace postings Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives Maintain confidential, accurate, and audit-ready HR documentation Qualifications 3+ years of Human Resources or relevant professional experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and EEOC guidelines Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communications kills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite UKG Ready experience is a plus Nonprofit experience is a plus Strong desire to learn, take on additional responsibility, and grow within the HR function The organization offers an excellent benefits package, including: Comprehensive exposure to multiple areas of Human ResourcesDirect partnership and mentorship from senior HR leadership Significant advancement potential, including the opportunity to grow into an HR Manager role This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who has developed foundational experience and is ready for a position that provides greater exposure, professional development, and a clear path for career growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr Michael Aaron Staffing, LLC
