Job Description

Learning Objectives:

The responsibility of the Student Accessibility Services is to provide support services for students with disabilities here at the Eastern Campus. The office supports students with disabilities at any Tri-C campus; Common disability types include learning disabilities, sensory limitations, psychiatric conditions, physical mobility conditions, and chronic health issues. In this role, you will:

• Develop professional competencies in customer service and communication
• Assist peers with college systems, resources, and processes
• Build your teamwork and problem-solving skills by working collaboratively with other student employees and staff
• Enhance leadership, teamwork, and intercultural competence by supporting campus events and engaging with diverse student populations.
• Answer phone and take messages;
• Clerical duties such as filing, open mail, and copying;
• Assist with special projects;
• Other duties as assigned.

• Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
• Adhere to College's confidentiality policy;
• Successfully pass background/drug screening;
• Answer phone and take messages;
• Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing;
• Open and sort mail;
• Strong interpersonal communication skills;
• Willingness to learn new technology;
• Assist with special projects;
• Other duties as assigned.
