Technician, Operations

Merck seeks a Processing Technician for its animal health manufacturing facility in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The role involves sterile operations, cell culture preparation, equipment maintenance, and production oversight in a biologics and vaccine manufacturing environment. First shift, Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile filling and freeze-drying operations according to Standard Production Processes and Standard Operating Procedures
• Prepare cell and viral cultures in flasks and roller bottles, handling up to 1000+ cultures per day
• Sanitize and sterilize designated areas and equipment with attention to detail
• Execute SAP transactions, cycle counts, and maintenance of batch documentation and area housekeeping
• Provide leadership to tier 1 process technicians and communicate with area leads and managers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment independently and as a team member
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Proficiency in reading, mathematics, US customary and metric systems, and basic computer skills
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test
• One year of relevant manufacturing experience preferred

Compensation: $48,600–$76,600 base
