Work Environment
This position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule with four 10-hour shifts, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including a half-hour lunch. You will work in a manufacturing environment that involves operating production equipment and using a variety of hand tools and power tools. The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling of parts and tools throughout the shift. You will regularly lift and move materials up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds or more. The work involves detailed visual tasks, including reading blueprints, schematics, and reports, and inspecting assemblies for quality. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of work areas and equipment, creating a structured and process-driven environment.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Responsibilities
- Assemble fabricated products and sub-assemblies accurately and efficiently according to work orders, BOMs, BOOs, assembly drawings, and other work instructions.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and all job safety requirements while performing daily tasks.
- Perform final visual and functional inspections of products as required by instructions to ensure quality and compliance.
- Identify, isolate, and document non-conforming products to prevent defective items from moving forward in the process.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and conduct testing to resolve assembly and product problems.
- Review technical drawings and documentation and recommend improvements to work processes and assembly methods.
- Participate actively in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area, equipment, and overall plant environment.
- Train other team members on work processes and best practices as needed.
- Support inventory control by participating in cycle counts and physical counts as required.
- Cross-train in multiple department functions to provide flexibility and support across operations.
- Perform other related duties as needed to meet business and production requirements.
- 2 to 3 years of related assembly work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as GED).
- Hands-on experience performing assembly work using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with electrical assemblies, including electrical wiring, soldering, and reading schematics.
- Experience building mechanical assemblies and working with complex builds involving many individual parts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and electronic schematics.
- Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures for accurate assembly and verification.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and write English and follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical devices and identify root causes of issues.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort with regular standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling during the workday.
- Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and to climb or maintain balance as needed.
- Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to view detailed drawings and reports.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment using both gross and fine motor skills and maintain strong eye-hand coordination.
- Prior experience in electronic assembly and working with electronics components.
- Experience assembling products with approximately 100 individual parts, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
- Electromechanical certification is a plus.
- Experience participating in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to train others on work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Comfort working with both electrical and mechanical systems in a production environment.
