About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 18:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BLS Certification preferred Must-Have: - Orthopedic experience in major joint procedures - Experience in general surgery, urology (open and cysto), and minor vascular procedures - Experience in major vascular procedures is a plus Description: This role is located in the Main Operating Room. There are 13 operating rooms available in this facility. Patient ratios are 1:1. The unit is staffed by RNs, surgical techs, support staff, and board runners. The type of equipment includes Stryker Ortho systems, Stryker lap towers, DIV Xi robots, and Mako Navigation. The documentation system in use is MEDITECH. Scheduling requirements include 4-5 call shifts every 4 weeks and a weekend rotation. There is no set schedule, but it is reasonable. Floating to assist in other areas is required if the operating rooms are shut down, with internal floating prioritized. Candidates must demonstrate excellent teamwork, a positive attitude, and punctuality. The department has been recognized as one of the top hospitals in surgical care.
