Business Planning Specialist Location: US-NY-Melville Company: Canon U.S.A., Inc. About the Role The Business Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and analyzing strategic plans to grow Canon's product and service portfolio, enhancing revenue and market share. This role combines market research, strategic planning, and cross‑functional collaboration to identify growth opportunities and execute initiatives effectively. Responsibilities Manage and lead key strategic initiatives cross‑functionally to align with business objectives. Actively engage with and challenge the sales, marketing and service teams to drive achievement of business strategy and targets. Visit customers, partners, and trade events to understand their business needs, competitive activities and market conditions as necessary. Provide analytical and strategic input into marketing performance, budgeting and product allocation. Administer and maintain regular Business Planning activities related to the execution of key objectives. Support decision‑making with actionable insights, not just data reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. 3 to 5 years of related experience. Prior sales or business development/planning experience is a plus. Business negotiation skills required. Project management experience is a plus. Good analytical skills. Presentation skills required. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written required. Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace. Up to 25% travel required. Must possess a clean, valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Salary Anticipated salary range: $66,300 - $81,550 annually. Workstyle This full‑time position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring presence in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with an option to work from home the remainder of the week unless business needs require additional in‑office attendance.
