The CFO will be the top financial leader, providing essential guidance in a partnership-based environment, and will work closely with the Managing Partner and leadership team to ensure financial stability and drive operational efficiency. Key responsibilities for the CFO include leading all financial operations, developing and executing financial strategies, managing partner income and compensation structures, overseeing partnership tax considerations, and providing financial insights for strategic decision-making. The role demands a strong strategic mindset, excellent communication, and leadership skills, and the ability to operate in a collaborative partnership environment. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have prior experience as a CFO, Controller, or in a senior finance leadership role within a law firm or professional services partnership. A deep understanding of partnership financial structures, partner income and compensation, and capital management is essential, as is experience with partnership tax considerations and financial reporting in a professional services setting. The CFO will be responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, and must ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and operational best practices. While a Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, an MBA or CPA is preferred.
