The Gnoshery, our lively board game café with a full-service kitchen, is looking for a Kitchen Lead to help drive our kitchen forward! As our Kitchen Lead, you’ll play a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly while developing a strong, consistent, and motivated kitchen team. Position Details Position: Lead Cook / Kitchen Manager Pay: Starting at $18/hour Position Type: Full-Time (32-40 hrs) What You’ll Do As our Kitchen Lead, you’ll take ownership of daily kitchen operations and team performance: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient service Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff , setting clear expectations and maintaining standards Delegate tasks and manage workflow during prep and service Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet Gnoshery standards Handle weekly inventory and ordering , keeping the kitchen stocked and organized Maintain strict adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation guidelines Step in on the line as needed — leading by example during busy shifts Collaborate on menu ideas, specials, and kitchen improvements What We’re Looking For We’re searching for someone who is: A Strong Leader – You can motivate, train, and hold a team accountable Highly Organized – You can manage ordering, prep, and people without missing a beat Experienced in the Kitchen – You’re confident in all aspects of food prep and service Reliable & Driven – You take ownership of your role and your team’s success A Clear Communicator – You set expectations and give feedback effectively Calm Under Pressure – You can lead through busy services with confidence Bonus (but not required): Previous kitchen management or lead experience ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Interest in board games and being part of a community-focused environment Why Join The Gnoshery?
