Job Summary

As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. You will prepare patients for exams, document vital signs, administer immunizations under provider supervision, and maintain accurate electronic health records.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out provider orders accurately and timely.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained.
• Notify patients of test results as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage medication samples.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators.
• Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a clean environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and contribute to a positive team environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise independent judgment, and work collaboratively.

This full-time role involves 10-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek.
