We are looking for a sharp, results-driven Accounting Manager to take ownership of our accounting operations and drive financial accuracy. In this role, you’ll lead the month-end close process, oversee general ledger activities, and ensure full compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards. Beyond the numbers, you will analyze financial statements to guide business decisions and play a key role in mentoring and developing our junior accounting team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead month-end close procedures, prepare complex journal entries, and perform balance sheet reconciliations (bank, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments).Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles to ensure timely and accurate issuance of internal and external financial statements.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze variance trends between actuals, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights to management.
• General Ledger Management: Reconcile accounts, review general ledger postings for accuracy, and maintain a clean audit trail.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Assist in preparing schedules for annual external audits and support internal tax compliance (sales tax, property tax).
• Process Improvement: Evaluate accounting procedures and recommend internal control improvements to optimize workflow and mitigate risk.
• Team Supervision: Directly manage and mentor the staff accounting team (AP, AR, Payroll, and Staff Accountants).
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies to safeguard company assets and enforce regulatory compliance.
• Audit & Tax Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors during year-end reviews and tax filings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• Experience: 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience (mix of public accounting and private industry is a plus).
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Index/Match, Pivot Tables), proficiency with ERP systems ( QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, or Sage).
• Key Competencies: Strong analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and sound understanding of GAAP/IFRS. Team leadership, risk assessment, strategic problem-solving, and clear cross-departmental communication.
