Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – Vermont

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Windsor, Vermont

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 32 hours guaranteed per week; 8-hour shifts with weekday call 2-3 days per week and weekend call approximately 1 weekend per month; 1-hour call-back time required

Highlights:

• Cataract experience required (non-negotiable)
• Function in both circulating and scrubbing capacities across multiple service lines including general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopy procedures
• 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room serving primarily outpatient procedures with limited inpatient cases
• Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 16 and older)
• EMR system: Cerner
• Hospital-provided scrubs; 8-hour non-billable orientation

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2-5 years of OR nursing experience required
• Demonstrated experience in both scrubbing and circulating roles (both specialty skill checklists required)
• Cataract surgical experience required (non-negotiable)
• Phase I/PACU experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Experience working in smaller OR facilities required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Personal vehicle required (small community without public transportation)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Availability to work two of the major holiday blocks: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
