About the Position

# Job Opportunity – PACU/Same Day Surgery Registered Nurse – Vermont**Start Date:** October 26, 2026**Location:** Windsor, Vermont**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 32-hour weekly guarantee with additional call hours; 8-hour shifts in Same Day Surgery/PACU setting; call coverage 2-3 days per week; two weekends per month

Highlights:

• 8-bay surgical unit serving up to 17 patients per day in a Same Day Surgery Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population with 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room
• Primarily outpatient procedures with limited inpatient cases; serves patients ages 16 and older
• Cerner EMR system; hospital-provided scrubs
• Primarily PACU duties with occasional OR assistance as needed
• 13-week assignment with 8-hour non-billable orientation

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Minimum 2 years Same Day Surgery experience required
• Phase I and II/PACU experience required
• Experience in rural or outpatient surgical facility required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Strong IV start skills and admission/discharge experience
• Ability to prepare OR for surgery, not just patient prep
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Must have reliable personal vehicle (required for this location)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility location
• Flexibility to work holidays and take call; limited time-off requests accepted (maximum 5 days, must be disclosed at application)
