About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Outpatient/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with call responsibilities Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Same Day Surgery, Phase I and II/PACU experience, admitting and discharge experience, experience in a rural OR outpatient facility. License: RN license Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills. Ability to multitask well and communicate with all team members. Experience preparing the OR for surgery. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the outpatient/post anesthesia care unit. The role involves the admission and discharge of surgical procedure patients. Candidates must have strong assessment skills and be able to start IVs. Important patient education skills and time management abilities are essential. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and physicians. Experience in PACU or ICU is preferred. This is a small community setting without public transport; candidates must have their own vehicle. Travelers will be responsible for managing their own scheduling requests and must include any time off requests with their profile. Call responsibilities include being available for two weekends per month. Travel experience is highly preferred. All applicants must provide a detailed profile with work history and skills checklist.
