Staff Accountant

Our client, a growing and dynamic organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an accounting professional with a solid foundation in operational accounting who is eager to grow and contribute to a collaborative environment. This role will support day-to-day accounting functions and work closely with branch teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Position: Staff Accountant Location: Austin, TX – Onsite (78665) Employment Type: Direct Hire / Temp-to-hire Pay: $65,000 – $80,000 Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries (JEs) to support accurate financial reporting. Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes. Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance. Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Communicate regularly with branch locations to gather information and support accounting needs. Assist with month-end close activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Support process improvements and maintain accurate financial records. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to operational accounting functions. Understanding of core accounting processes including JEs, A/P, A/R, and reconciliations. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
