This full-time director position primarily works Monday through Friday , with regular office hours at our campuses in Frederick, MD, and Hanover, PA.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a fundraising capacity
• Proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Conversant in web basics
• Data entry skills, accuracy, detail oriented and ability to work independently with little supervision

YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

As a Homewood Development Director, your day is a dynamic mix of responsibilities. You maintain strict confidentiality while working closely with the Vice President to shape and execute the annual fundraising plan. Your portfolio of 75 to 100 donors is your focus, as you cultivate, solicit, and steward these relationships. You also collaborate on strategies to move donors into major giving categories and expand our base of annual donors.

Your role extends to organizing Foundation events, meticulous record-keeping, and engaging with local board members. Additionally, you contribute to annual giving efforts, gather compelling donor stories, and represent Homewood in the community while seeking grant opportunities. Each day in this role is an opportunity to advance Homewood's mission and make a meaningful impact in the world of fundraising and philanthropy.
