Design Engineer

Role Overview The Senior Design Engineer provides expert technical leadership in precast and prestressed concrete design, independently managing complex projects and making critical engineering decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead project designs by reviewing plans, specifications, and standards; apply advanced knowledge of concrete behavior, connections, load paths, safety, and code compliance; serve as a technical liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders; evaluate non-standard conditions and develop practical solutions; perform quality reviews of engineering documents; mentor junior staff; and standardize engineering tools and practices across projects. Qualifications & Skills B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE license required; strong understanding of structural design, code requirements, and precast/prestressed concrete; proficient in engineering software; excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and professional. Preferred Attributes Multiple state PE licenses; extensive precast/prestressed design experience; familiarity with BIM/modeling software; proven mentorship abilities.
