Senior Trial Attorney - Personal Injury

Salary: Up to $300,000 annually based on experience, plus performance-based bonuses, health benefits, PTO, and CLE support. Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to take ownership of a high-value motor vehicle accident litigation docket, primarily focused on commercial cases ranging from $250,000 to over $1,000,000. This role is responsible for managing complex litigation cases through trial when necessary, developing trial strategy, and maximizing case value while overseeing supporting litigation staff and collaborating across teams. Job Responsibilities: Serve as first-chair or co-chair trial attorney in jury trials Independently manage 50-75 active litigation cases and oversee 25-50 pre-litigation cases Develop and execute trial strategy, themes, and case theory Handle complex litigation from filing through verdict Draft, file, and argue advanced motions Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses Prepare cases for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial Lead settlement negotiations and evaluate settlement vs. trial value Identify and develop high-value cases for litigation Oversee expert inspections, discovery, and evidence gathering Collaborate with intake and associate attorneys on case evaluation Mentor associate attorneys and support staff Maintain strong client communication and prepare clients for litigation proceedings Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) Active Texas State Bar license 5-10+ years of personal injury litigation experience (motor vehicle accident cases required) Jury trial experience required Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
