POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client, a well-established plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Houston, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to manage cases from inception through resolution and trial.

This is a hands-on litigation role for an attorney who is comfortable managing a high-volume personal injury caseload , taking depositions, arguing motions, negotiating settlements, and trying cases.

The firm offers a collaborative, high-performance environment with $175K–$200K base compensation plus additional attorney fees on resolved cases .

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Manage a high-volume caseload of plaintiff’s personal injury cases from inception through trial .
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and case value.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Independently draft and argue motions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality written work.
• Maintain compliance with Texas procedural rules and court deadlines.
• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
• Provide responsive, personalized client service from case opening through resolution.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 5+ years of high-volume plaintiff’s personal injury litigation experience.
• Proven trial experience required.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Strong knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure .
• Experience independently handling depositions, discovery, motions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a large caseload.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Leadership experience working with paralegals and support teams.
• Strong client communication and relationship-management skills.
• Commitment to providing excellent client service.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Extensive personal injury trial experience.
• Experience handling complex or high-value injury matters.
• Leadership or supervisory experience within a litigation team.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
