Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Position Highlights:

Start: As soon as credentialed
Assignment Length: 3-month contract with ongoing coverage
Location: Maryville, IL
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Call: Approximately 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month (negotiable)
EMR : Epic
Coverage Needed: Full-time preferred; PRN availability may also be considered
Travel and lodging provided

Practice Details:

Hospital-based setting
Adult and geriatric patient population
Average patient volume:
- Weekdays: Approximately 15 patients/day
- Weekends: Up to 25 patients/day
Responsibilities include:
- Inpatient rounding
- Emergency Department consults
- STEMI call coverage
- General cardiology and interventional procedures

Procedures:

Cardiac catheterizations
Coronary interventions
Temporary pacemaker placement
Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Echocardiograms
EKG interpretation
Cardiac stress testing
STEMI management

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Active Illinois and Missouri licenses (or eligible through the IMLC)
Active DEA
BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 1 year of post-training experience (no new graduates)
Required case logs for credentialing, including interventional cardiology and general cardiology procedures

Additional Information:

Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
