Description: Must have oncology experience. Sickle cell experience and chemo certification are preferred, but not required. No block schedule is available. Options for 36 or 48 hours or 18 or 20-week contracts are also available. Applications must show some 1:5 ratio experience in the work history section for stepdown or PCU. Otherwise, managers will not review the application. ICU experience does not count towards stepdown/PCU experience. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4 but can be up to 1:5-6. Must be willing to float to all stepdown/advanced care units. EPIC experience is a requirement. Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. BLS & ACLS certifications are required; must be able to read and interpret EKG strips. Nurses will be fitted for N95 masks prior to working in high-risk respiratory environments. Traveler will be the first to float at the facility's discretion. Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. This is a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients. It is a mixed acuity unit seeing both med surg and advanced care patients. The unit administers blood products and chemotherapy. RNs on the unit, with ONS certification, do administer chemotherapy. The dress code is navy blue scrubs. Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract. No schedule requests or time off will be negotiated after an offer is made. References are not required. Local travelers are not accepted. Any past license disciplinary action will result in disqualification from submission. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on job requirements with no restrictions or special requests. Epic charting experience is required for all inpatient nursing roles. Mandatory compliance with required modules within specified timeframes.
