Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Description We're hiring for a Production Supervisor for our growing site in Machesney Park, IL . This is a direct hire permanent job opportunity. This role is responsible for directing production employees toward goals and objectives, assigning duties, examining the work performed, monitoring work performance and procedures, analyzing and resolving work/team problems as well as suggesting and initiating plans for increased efficiencies in the operation. As a leader, he/she will be responsible for promoting an engaged, safe work environment, measuring productivity, understanding and reducing costs, producing on-time delivery, developing employees/teams, rewarding for performance and work to instill ITW Culture/Values and tool usage into employee's daily routines. Responsibilities Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams Lead safety, cost, quality, delivery, and productivity initiatives as well as continue to encourage empowerment and to drive ITW principles Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel Demonstrate and encourage effective communications to personnel at all levels and training employees/team members to resolve conflict in a fair, consistent, and empowered manner within a team environment. Develop & support Line Leaders and assess team members’ performance and goals regularly, encouraging the achievement of effective goals. Assist/support teams in the utilization of all available resources. Participate in committees/teams as required. Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the production lines and team. Coaches reports on performance and attendance. Monitors attendance throughout the day and takes necessary steps to ensure lines are fully staffed by reorganizing lines or adjusting schedules. Issues Corrective Action and may be consulted if termination is needed based on performance or attendance. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembly or other related fields At least 3 years minimum experience overseeing teams greater than 20 personnel Strong leadership qualities Excellent written and verbal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
