Radiology Technologist - Join Our Dynamic Team!

Job Description:
- Unit: Radiology
- Staff Types:
- Radiologic Technologists (with & without CT experience)
- Ultrasound Technologists
- Mammography Technologists
- Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ARRT
- Radiologic Technologists: California State Certification
- Ultrasound Technologists: ARDMS
- Mammography Technologists: California State Certification
- Workload:
- Patients scheduled 1 per hour to accommodate inpatients & ER patients
- EMR System: Cerner
- Management Team:
- Radiology Coordinator
- Manager
- Supervisor
- Staff Availability: Typically 15 Radiology techs scheduled every 24 hours
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement / Call:
- Proficient CT candidates can be scheduled at 7 AM or 3 PM
- General Rad Techs can be scheduled at 10 AM or 11 AM
- U/S Techs work 1/2 shift on Saturday AM
- Standby/call opportunity for proficient U/S Techs approved by the Radiologist
- Holidays: Covered by call
- Scrub Color: Provided by the hospital
- Radiologist Support: On-site or on-call as needed
- Orientation:
- U/S Technologists: 1 week
- Rad Techs without CT experience: 1 day with portables & 1 day in the OR
- Rad Techs with CT experience: Orientation varies by scanner experience
- Mammography Techs may require training depending on experience
- Equipment:
- CT: Siemens 64 slice & 128 slice
- U/S: Phillips equipment
- Patient Care: All typical hospital patients (ER, OR, inpatient & outpatient)
- Additional Notes:
- Basic Rad Techs should have Fluoroscopy permit for OR & routine work
- CT & Mammography certification is a plus
- Venipuncture experience is desirable
- OR experience is highly valued
- Tomography training for Mammography Techs is a plus
