Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ well-being by providing psychological services within an engaging school environment. This contract opportunity starts August 10, 2026, and continues through June 17, 2027, working full-time with a diverse caseload in the Department of Student Services. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and staff to help foster students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Maryland School Psychology License required
- Previous experience as a school psychologist in K-12 settings preferred
- Deep understanding of psychological assessments, intervention strategies, and response-to-intervention (RTI) models
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to support special education eligibility and student planning
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored for individual or group needs
- Advise and consult with teachers, students, and families to support learning and emotional well-being
- Participate in IEP meetings, multi-disciplinary team discussions, and school-based initiatives
- Contribute to the development of positive school climates and crisis response efforts
- Maintain accurate records and follow all regulatory standards and privacy guidelines
- Serve as a valued resource for referrals, research, and best practices in school psychology
