Housekeeping

Job Summary: Provides and maintains an exceptionally clean and attractive facility for customers and employees that meets or exceeds health and safety requirements. Main duties include removing and disposing trash and cardboard, maintaining the restroom facilities, assisting in the cleanup of spills, and laundering company aprons, towels, etc. Duties and responsibilities: Utilize wheeled carts, commercial elevator, cardboard compactor, and garbage compactor in the removal and disposal of trash, cardboard, and used grease. Monitor, maintain, and clean the restrooms of both the customer and employees. Clean up spills in the kitchen, buffet area, dining room, etc. Launder the company aprons, towels, mop heads, mitts, etc. Utilize written and verbal communication to communicate with co-workers in order to facilitate the smooth transition of job duties from one shift to another. Waste areas are not overflowing, and equipment is utilized properly and resourcefully. Restrooms are clean and stocked and meet or exceed health and safety codes. The kitchen, dining room, and other areas are clean and meet or exceed health and safety codes. Assigned duties are completed properly and in a timely manner. It is required that evening housekeeping staff work until all duties are completed as determined by a supervisor/manager. Do not punch out without supervisor or manager approval. All Customer and employee areas are clean and presentable.
