About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will be a mission-driven, strategic, and operationally strong partner, providing leadership and oversight of all financial operations. This includes serving as a key financial advisor on the organization's real estate portfolio, capital investments, and long-term facility strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive and strategic leadership, financial management and analysis, capital and real estate finance oversight, accounting and compliance, and leadership and team development within the finance department. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, with a preference for a CPA and MBA. A minimum of 7 years' progressive financial leadership experience is required, with a strong background in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and reporting. Previous experience in a nonprofit organization is also preferred. The role demands a professional who can partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic and financial objectives, lead long-range financial planning, and sustainability initiatives, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational decision-making. The CFO will also be involved in capital planning, and growth initiatives, and must ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and grant standards.
