Physical Therapist Assistant

A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their growing team for a perm/direct hire assignment! Job Overview The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist and uses physical treatment procedures to improve mobility and relieve pain caused by disease or injury. Techniques include massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and other assigned exercises. Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist. Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under supervision. Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals. Qualifications Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school. Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant or be in the process of obtaining such licensure. Current CPR certification. Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist. Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist.
