Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM.

Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for performing various procedures related to cardiac catheterization. This includes but is not limited to Left Heart Catheterization, High Risk PCI, Right Heart Catheterization, Pacemaker insertions, Peripheral Procedures, and Structural Heart interventions including ECMO and EKOS. The candidate will work in a high-pressure environment and should demonstrate excellent clinical skills and a thorough understanding of cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheterization procedures and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with interventional cardiology procedures and ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain sterile conditions and equipment for all procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop effective treatment plans.
• Document and report patient status and any complications during procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the cardiac cath lab specialty.
• Experience in Structural Heart procedures and ECMO is required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• ARRT or RCIS certification preferred.
• Associate degree in health science or completion of an accredited technology program (CVT/Radiology).
