Associate Faculty Pool, Mechatronics

Salary: A five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94. Location: Lynnwood, Washington. Description: Mechatronics is a part of the Engineering Technology program that focuses on the understanding of both electrical and mechanical components. Instructors and curriculum developers are needed to develop and instruct new classes including control systems (including PLC), Electronics, Pneumatics/Hydraulics, and Robotics. Working knowledge of industrial direct and alternating current, electronics, mechanics, and industrial maintenance. Desired Qualifications Master's degree, or equivalent degree in engineering or a Mechatronics related field. Teaching experience at a community college. Industry experience in mechanical and electrical systems. Experience teaching to Associate degree level students. Physical Work Environment Work is typically performed in a classroom which requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Instructors typically use a personal computer in the work environment. Compensation The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step A. Special assignments are paid at $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are compensated per the CBA rate, starting at $55 for meetings lasting from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
