Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-temperature refrigeration systems in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys problem-solving, technical work, and continuous learning.

• Pay: $21.39 – $30.00 per hour depending on experience
• Overtime eligible

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement drawings
• Assemble, test, dehydrate, charge, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems with minimal supervision
• Perform high-quality silver soldering on copper refrigeration systems up to 3 inches in diameter
• Bend and flare copper tubing according to quality and safety standards
• Troubleshoot and support low-temperature refrigeration systems
• Analyze material availability and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the development of refrigeration procedures and work instructions
• Provide training and administer refrigeration soldering tests when needed
• Manage in-house refrigerant inventory and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with off-site installations, preventive maintenance, and administrative support tasks
• Support additional manufacturing activities as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; trade school training preferred
• Experience with refrigeration systems and troubleshooting techniques
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
• Hands-on experience with low-temperature refrigeration systems
• Comfortable working in a job shop or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification
• Experience with preventive maintenance and field installations
• Advanced silver soldering and copper tubing assembly experience
• Previous experience training or mentoring others
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Flexible, team-oriented mindset
