Job Summary

We are seeking a data-driven and culturally agile Purchasing Buyer to manage our end-to-end global supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring both finished goods and service parts from predominantly overseas suppliers (China and Southeast Asia). The Buyer serves as a critical cross-functional hub, collaborating closely with Internal and External Product Development, Sales, Customer Service, and Business Unit Managers to align international manufacturing capabilities with commercial strategy, product launches, and customer demand.

Job Duties
  • Perform purchasing function such as placing PO, managing supplier confirmation and cargo ready dates, resolving shipping and receiving discrepancies
  • Support product development team on non-inventory purchasing activities such as tooling, samples and prototypes as needed to launch new products
  • Analyze and plan products and raw material requirements based on forecast and production schedule to support inventory availability
  • Communicate and collaborate with inside sales, suppliers, ensuring customer orders are met and delivered on time
  • Support project management task between product development and suppliers to ensure project timeline and critical milestones are met, follow up on samples and tooling completion to prevent major delay
  • Review product lead times, minimum order requirements, seasonality, and sales volume by SKU by customers to determine order frequency while maintaining lean inventory
  • Conduct periodical forecast review with sales and business unit managers to avoid excessive or stock out position
  • Support quotes, contracts, RFQs, and cost standards for budget plan
  • Drive process improvement activities through purchasing to minimize errors and touch points
  • Assist with other supply chain analysis and initiatives as needed
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with ERP Systems including manufacturing modules (e.g. MRP, MPS, and WMS) desired
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multi-level personnel as well as suppliers, customers, and non-native English speakers
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, convey complex issues, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision

Education: 2-year degree in a supply chain related discipline and/or 3 equivalent years of experience

Compensation: Salaried

Duration of Employment: Full Time

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift at least 30lbs
  • Must be able to sit for over 4 hours at a time.

Work Days: Monday – Friday

Hours / Day: 8

Work Shift: First Shift

Travel: Minimal travel is required
