We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.**Expert Field Service Technician**Xylem is looking for an Expert Field Service Technician to report to our Garner, NC location and provide field service support for customer equipment across multiple customer sites and locations.**What your day will look like as an Expert Field Service Technician**The Expert Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing advanced mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment at customer sites. This role works independently with minimal supervision while supporting multiple systems and customers, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. If you believe you would be a great fit for our team, we encourage you to apply today.**Position Requirements for Expert Field Service Technicians*** High school diploma or equivalent* Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)* Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card* Clean driving record* Valid driver's license* Completion of required driver qualification documentation, including MVR, FMCSA, and DOT compliance requirements* 3–7 years of technical field service or related work experience preferred**Preferred Skills and Experience*** Strong mechanical, electrical, diesel, or fusion equipment experience (depending on business unit)* Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems using sound critical thinking and diagnostic skills* Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs in the field* Ability to work independently while coaching and mentoring less experienced technicians* Strong customer service and communication skills* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices* Ability to clearly communicate technical information to customers and internal teams* Proven ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and deliver results in dynamic environments* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and protecting both company and customer equipment* Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating accountability, innovation, and ownership\*\*The estimated salary range for this position is $29/hr-$35/hr. Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range.
