Payroll Administrator

George J. Igel & Co., Inc. Payroll Administrator Reports to: Payroll & Benefits Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week. Job Location: 3500 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207 General Overview: Under direct supervision, the Payroll Administrator will provide support to the Accounting & Finance Department by assisting the Payroll Team. Responsibilities Oversee company Prevailing Wage Compliance Submit Weekly Certified Payroll Reports Collect, track, and submit subcontractor Certified Payroll Reports Request & submit apprentice certificates Ensure company compliance with state and federal prevailing wage regulations Assist Payroll with: Sending weekly payroll notifications and reports Setting up and maintaining Employee records within the Payroll system Serve as a backup to the weekly Payroll processing Assist with data entry, report generation, and documentation preparation Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, handling correspondence, and greeting visitors at the front door Maintain and organize files, records, and documents Provide support for various departmental projects and initiatives Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion Other duties as assigned This list is non-exhaustive. Qualifications Previous experience as an accounting or payroll assistant or similar administrative role is preferred Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. (George J.
