Virtual Chief Information Officer

VIRTUAL CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (vCIO)

We are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven professional to serve as our Virtual Chief Information Officer . Think of this role as the bridge between a customer's business goals and their technology — you'll get to know where they're headed as a company, then build the IT roadmap that gets them there. Along the way you'll grow the accounts you manage, point customers toward the right hardware and software, and keep the referral pipeline moving.

Responsibilities:

• Keep every account's contacts and details up to date and accurate in the CRM.
• Work with leadership to map out what happens next for each account, and make sure it actually gets scheduled and done.
• Turn technical findings and each customer's business goals into a workable IT roadmap.
• Spot opportunities to bring more value to managed services customers, and turn those into sales.
• Get face time with clients regularly, so you know their business almost as well as they do.
• Show up to the weekly sales meeting.
• Show up to your weekly one-on-one with your manager.
• Team up with the technical alignment side of the house to shape strategy and roadmaps.
• Put the customer's interests first, every time.
• Keep an eye on the broader business, regulatory, and economic climate that shapes what customers need.
• Treat customer and company information as the sensitive asset it is.
• Move fast when a managed services customer needs something.
• Build relationships that go beyond your main point of contact — know the org chart.
• Understand where the customer wants to be in a few years, and make sure IT is pulling in that direction.
• Bring forward-looking, sometimes unconventional ideas that keep customer systems running without a hitch.

Required Qualifications:

• An associate's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent study.
• At least 5 years working in IT.
• Time spent inside a B2B services business.
• A solid grasp of consultative selling and how B2B sales cycles actually work.
• Real fluency with TruMethods and MyITprocess.
• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Desired Outcomes:

• Hang onto 95% or more of your customer base year over year.
• Never let CRM data go stale for the clients you own.
• Make sure every account gets real quarterly and annual planning attention.
• Hit or beat your sales quota, consistently.

Travel: Less than 25%.

Status: Full-time.

Salary: 100K to 120K
