Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is partnering with one of the fastest-growing wealth management firms in the United States to identify an accomplished attorney for its Miami headquarters. Our client combines the personalized service of a boutique with the resources and intellectual capital of a national industry leader, serving thousands of clients through offices across the country.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a real estate leasing attorney to move in-house and become a key member of a lean, collaborative legal team. The role provides end-to-end legal support to a Real Estate function managing a nationwide portfolio of more than 50 office leases, along with a broad range of commercial, corporate, and litigation matters. The attorney will report to a senior member of the legal team and work cross-functionally to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all legal aspects of the office lease lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating letters of intent, leases, subleases, estoppels, SNDAs, and related agreements.
• Negotiate service and supplier contracts with real estate, architecture, and facilities vendors.
• Handle assignments, terminations, and consolidations of leases and vendor agreements, including in the context of M&A transactions and post-closing integrations.
• Support corporate governance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of vendor contracts, including NDAs, software, SaaS, and other technology agreements.
• Manage third-party litigation, including document production in response to subpoenas, in coordination with outside counsel.
• Coordinate workstreams among internal legal resources, business functions, and outside counsel.
• Take on additional projects as the business evolves.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing of a U.S. state bar.
• 3+ years of experience in a top-tier real estate leasing practice.
• Substantial experience across the leasing lifecycle, including commercial leases, AIA agreements, lease negotiation, green leasing terms, and real estate deal structure.
• Experience with vendor and supplier contracts, corporate governance, and general corporate work.
• Tenant-side (lessee) experience strongly preferred.
• In-house and litigation experience a plus.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and be willing to complete a background check. This role requires an in-office presence four days per week in Miami.
