Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner in the effective delivery of human resources across the company, with specific support for multiple divisions. This role is responsible for a broad range of professional-level HR functions with a strong focus on compliance and employee relations. Working closely with leadership, the Human Resources Generalist exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying employment laws, policies, and procedures, and recommends appropriate actions on employee relations, policy interpretation, and compliance matters. The position supports Operations teams located at headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA and in Salt Lake City, UT, and plays a critical role in policy interpretation and enforcement, compliance monitoring, HR data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support company goals. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced HR environment.Responsibilities include serving as a primary point of contact for HR Business Partner inquiries, analyzing issues and providing guidance that is consistent with company policies and employment laws; partnering with the Human Resources Generalist on onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure compliance and a consistent, positive employee experience; overseeing the maintenance and integrity of personnel records to ensure compliance, data accuracy, and adherence to recordkeeping policies; designing, developing, and delivering training and coaching programs for supervisors and employees on compliant timekeeping practices, corrective action, business unit policies, and policy interpretation; partnering with division leaders to provide human resources guidance and direction that supports business objectives; providing guidance and recommendations to business partners regarding leaves of absence, workers compensation and safety, timekeeping and attendance, and employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies; conducting workplace investigations related to employee relations issues within assigned business partner divisions; partnering with the Human Resources Director to design and implement performance management, employee development, and engagement programs aligned with organizational strategy; ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations and staying current on changes in employment legislation; analyzing human resources metrics and supporting HR initiatives that are aligned with company goals; leading or contributing to the development, interpretation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, exercising independent judgment to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness; developing and maintaining strong working relationships with hiring managers, supervisors, department leaders, and team members to create collaborative partnerships that support organizational success; independently managing or contributing to HR initiatives, applying professional expertise to improve processes, strengthen compliance, and enhance employee engagement; traveling as needed to other company locations, including Salt Lake City, UT, to support HR activities and business partners; and performing other related duties as assigned that are consistent with the scope of the Human Resources Generalist role.Essential skills include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, minimum of 5 years of solid experience in human resources, preferably in a business partner capacity, strong experience in employee relations and human resources management, ability to represent the organization in a polished, professional, and articulate manner, with excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated positive, user-friendly attitude when interacting with employees and leaders, exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong initiative and resourcefulness, proven ability to independently and proactively problem-solve, using strong critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail combined with a high work ethic and the ability to work independently, demonstrated ability and desire to participate in a team that strives to create a communicative, professional, and positive work environment, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and exercise solid judgment, strong multitasking and prioritization skills suited to a fast-paced environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite software programs, experience with HR systems and tools, including platforms such as Workday, ITAR Compliant, screening check and drug test as a condition of employment.Additional skills and qualifications include experience with Utah state labor laws, compliance, and regulations, experience working in a manufacturing environment, experience supporting a multi-state, non-exempt employee population, experience in onboarding and offboarding processes, familiarity with HR data analysis and HR metrics to support strategic initiatives, experience designing and delivering training and coaching programs for supervisors and employees, experience in performance management, employee development, and engagement program design, ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers, supervisors, and department leaders to foster collaboration, direct placement opportunity with a well-established and growing company, offering long-term career potential.Work environment is based at the company’s headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA and operates on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of three days onsite per week is expected, with onsite days typically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The remaining days, such as Tuesdays and Fridays, may be worked remotely in alignment with business needs and team coordination. The role supports Operations teams in both West Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, UT, and may require occasional travel to the Salt Lake City location and other sites. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and professional, with frequent cross-functional interaction and a strong emphasis on communication, compliance, and employee engagement. Standard office technologies are used, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and HR platforms such as Workday. The dress code is professional business attire appropriate for a corporate headquarters setting and for representing the HR function to leaders and employees.Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00/yr. This is a Permanent position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
