Buyer - Consultant Services

Job Description This position is fully onsite and requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance. The position is willing to pay between $60,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Insight Global is seeking a Buyer - Consultant Services for a top federally focused research and defense organization. This individual will play a critical role supporting consultant and professional services procurement activities from intake through purchase order issuance. The ideal candidate will have experience working within government contracting environments, a strong understanding of FAR and DFARS regulations, and hands‑on experience with Deltek Costpoint. Responsibilities include reviewing consultant requisitions and Statements of Work, processing purchase orders and agreements, coordinating with internal stakeholders, maintaining procurement compliance documentation, and ensuring timely execution of consultant onboarding and procurement activities. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to View email address on click.appcast.io learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Day-to-Day: Review consultant requisitions and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance Process consultant agreements, purchase orders, and procurement documentation Review SOWs, labor categories, labor rates, and consultant documentation Coordinate procurement activities with internal stakeholders including Legal, Security, Accounts Payable, and hiring teams Utilize Deltek Costpoint to process requisitions and issue purchase orders Maintain procurement records and compliance documentation Support preparation, review, and administration of consultant agreements and amendments Track procurement actions and follow up on approvals, onboarding requirements, and vendor setup activities Manage high-volume consultant processing while maintaining accuracy and compliance Identify and communicate procurement issues, delays, and compliance concerns to leadership Support reporting and other procurement-related administrative activities Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent relevant experience 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience Experience supporting defense contractors or government contracting environments Hands‑on experience with Deltek Costpoint Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations Experience reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs), labor categories, and labor rates Strong procurement documentation and compliance experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high‑volume environment Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Ability to pass a criminal background check #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
