Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in aerospace electrical design, aircraft certification, testing, and substantiation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of aircraft processes, certification requirements, and electrical design tools.
Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans, and test reports.
- Prepare substantiation documentation related to aircraft cabin safety and electrical requirements.
- Support small certification and engineering projects, including supplier data and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate responses to technical inquiries, significant issues, and airworthiness concerns.
- Identify major design changes that may impact aircraft electrical systems.
- Support coordination with certification and regulatory agencies.
- Interface with airline customers during troubleshooting activities, including flight tests, laboratory testing, and jig testing.
- Prepare technical presentations and documentation for engineering and project meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4 7 years of engineering experience; relevant internships or co-op experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of aircraft engineering processes and substantiation methods for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.
- Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, aerospace materials, fabrication methods, and hardware.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
