Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity offers experienced pharmacists the chance to work in a behavioral health inpatient setting, providing essential medication management and patient care. The position is per diem with a schedule focused on daytime hours from Monday through Friday, including some on-call responsibilities during evenings and potential weekend shifts. Full travel and housing expenses are covered to support your relocation and stay.
Location: Chugiak, AK
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- On-call duties evenings
- Possible weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within the behavioral health inpatient unit
- Manage order entry utilizing HCS and Omnicell automation systems
- Provide staffing support to maintain smooth pharmacy operations
- Participate in orientation and training two days prior to start, ensuring familiarity with unit protocols and workflows
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Alaska Pharmacist license and active Alaska RPh permit required
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred
- Experience with OmniCell automated dispensing systems is desirable
- Ability to handle on-call duties and occasional weekend coverage
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety in a behavioral health environment

- Contract duration: 4 to 8 weeks

- Orientation/training provided two days before shift start
