Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

• Active licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Demonstrated experience working with ventilator-dependent patients
• Proficiency in managing complex respiratory and cardiopulmonary cases
• Previous work in long-term acute care or similar healthcare settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, patient-centered respiratory therapy for individuals with chronic illnesses
• Perform ventilator weaning and management, tailoring interventions for each patient’s unique needs
• Collaborate with physicians, skilled nurses, cardiologists, and pulmonologists as part of a comprehensive approach
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, modify treatment plans as appropriate, and document progress
• Educate patients and families about disease management and therapeutic strategies
• Support mobility and recovery through active participation in physical and rehabilitation therapies
