School Nurse (LPN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at New Story Schools, you will support student health and wellness by providing compassionate, high-quality care throughout the school day. You'll assist with medication administration, first aid, and health monitoring under the direction of a Certified School Nurse or physician. Your calm, caring presence will help ensure students can focus on learning in a safe, supportive environment.

What You'll Need

• Current Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

• Experience providing nursing care to children or adolescents

• Knowledge of common medical conditions, medication administration, and infection control procedures

• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

• Ability to remain calm and effective during medical or behavioral emergencies

What You'll Do

• Provide basic nursing care, first aid, and health support to students during the school day

• Administer medications and document care according to physician orders and school policies

• Monitor students with chronic conditions and report changes in health status to the Certified School Nurse

• Support staff with student health needs and communicate effectively with families when appropriate

• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant health office environment
