Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and development-oriented Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our high-trust, high-impact global technology team under a permanent, 100% remote layout within India. In this critical backend development seat, you will partner cross-functionally across distributed squads in the U.S. and India to design, scale, and maintain resilient backend services that power core platform features. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative data entry loops, entry-level styling edits, or basic customer helpdesk ticketing, you will operate an active high-concurrency microservices orchestration, distributed messaging routing, and cloud infrastructure calibration laboratory. This role is not just about building basic APIs; you will claim strategic ownership over architecture choices, break down legacy code blocks, and mitigate long-term technical debt. This position requires an engineering authority with 5+ years of software design experience who handles data streams fluidly natively using Backend, DevOps, and SQL primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with distributed message queues, and participates reliably in on-call operational syncs.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Infrastructure Governance: Architect, construct, and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant backend services and robust APIs natively utilizing Backend engineering best practices.
• Microservices System Instrumentation: Design, develop, and scale containerized service layers, leveraging advanced asynchronous inter-service communication protocols (such as protobufs/gRPC, REST, and NSQ).
• Database Architecture Calibration: Define, write, and optimize complex relational database structures and high-performance queries natively deploying SQL data paradigms.
• Cloud Operations and Scalability: Deploy, support, and scale distributed system components within enterprise cloud architectures, focusing specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
• Containerized Deployment Control: Build and configure reliable deployment templates and orchestration parameters natively leveraging DevOps tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Production Observability Triage: Take absolute ownership over the quality, runtime metrics, and service-reliability alerts of your production code, implementing advanced tracing and logging mechanisms.
• Legacy Deconstruction & Frameworking: Assist in strategically breaking monolithic application layers into decoupled microservices, implementing workflow orchestrators like Temporal to prevent technical debt.
• Technical Peer Mentorship: Formulate code review patterns, establish strict documentation habits, and technically lead junior engineering personnel to promote pristine development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Possess a formal Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a matching quantitative technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• A minimum of 5+ years of proven, successful professional software engineering history operating as a Backend Developer, Systems Engineer, Core Java Developer, Python Engineer, or closely matching tech-driven application design capacity.
• Expert Backend Language Command: Production-grade operational literacy writing and optimization code natively leveraging modern programming languages like Go (Golang), Java, Python, Ruby, or C# (with strong performance-level Go experience or absolute willingness to master it rapidly).
